Straiph
سيرة ذاتية
Art and science are often thought of as polar opposites but together form a powerful combination which can function as one of the many ways of advancing our understanding and conveying concepts through creative sound and visualisation. I’m employment as a technician in the field of ecology and evolutionary biology; this encompasses the study of organic diversity, including its origins, dynamics, maintenance and consequences. I am also a contemporary Scottish sound artist applying varied distinctive mediums to communicate my art work; I’m interested in understanding the mechanisms that preside over the natural world and the impact of humans and other species upon these and their relationship between ritual and power within an evolutionary time-frame.
Straiph is known for their accomplishments and continues to make an impact, inspiring others and leaving a lasting impression through their work and presence.
